Consists of 1.5 hour lesson familiarizing each participant firstly with the tools, the carving station, and then a quick but thorough demonstration for their use. The group will move on to discuss what creations to construct with Maestro Matteo… He will then select for everyone a few pieces of choice Utah Alabaster. He will then help the group quickly sketch the discussed creation. We begin by clamping the stone and await instructions on where and how to begin carving. Maestro Mateo then provides one-on-one guidance and direction through the carving process and various techniques all working towards a satisfactory outcome. Once the carved shape is complete, Matteo will guide you through the 3-step polishing process utilizing three different grits of wet sandpaper—or a 4-step process should you desire to attach it to a wire keepsake to wear home as a necklace!

A larger group experience everyone will be talking about for years afterward; embodied by a special Utah Alabaster reminder everyone can bring home. TEAM BUILDERS Take an unique adventure with a group of your choosing. As a team-building focus event, everyone starts with the exact same size of stone. Once clamped, participants will carve lines, round corners, and then flip the stone and do everything all over again. After nearly the 3rd or 4th flip, everyone's stone will begin to look very different, and each carver will glean something from within the stone’s surface and then spend the rest of the carving session freeing your image from its stone prison.

NEW CO-ART CARVINGS

Want to reward your employees’ hard work? Maybe wanting to celebrate your company milestones?? Or even thinking about where to host your annual work event??? Then Co-Art Carvings is suited for you. Every Co-Art participant will sit at a customized stone-carving station with a stone clamped-down and a rough sketch design upon it. General instructions are then given and each carver who will utilize the tools and kit towards completion. The simple drawn design is easy and will be finished quickly. Everyone will etch their own initials under their stone and trade it in for a new raw piece. What the group decides to make is up to you. Some might decide to each make a piece of a larger puzzle, others may want the pieces to form a logo when put together. Some groups may decide to collectively create a picture that carries some sort of meaning that will last forever. After the session is over and everyone goes home, Maestro Matteo will make a joined Art-piece of all the puzzle peices creating the Co-Art design desiceded before hand and eac individual will have there own keepsake create after the warm up Co-Art creation intro.

EVENT ALL DAY

Having a monumental life-event like a wedding, family reunion, or any special event? You can book-out Maestro Matteo for the whole day! Up to 20 carving stations can be set-up with a few extra tables for polishing. Select from a few streamlined pre-carved shapes like arrowheads, hearts, shark teeth, etc. and add your own unique flair to the piece which you can then take home at the end of the day as a reminder of the truly amazing experience.
